Watch out for Social Media Scams!

Social Media is a huge space for scammers to work. These scammers will hack into someone’s account and either offer to sell something at an extremely low price or they might offer an opportunity to “invest” in something that promises big returns. They might use language like “limited time offer” and provide very few details about the so called “opportunity.” They also might ask you to provide your initial “investment” via Cash App, Venmo, Paypal, etc.

If you think that you are seeing a post that is a scam from a friend on social media, reach out to them personally and see if the post is legitimate or not. It is always best to slow down and think, do some research, and to understand the risks when dealing with potential posts that are scams.

I have always had a great experience with both the Stevenson and the Scottsboro branch of this bank. Between Amy, Veronica, Emily, and our primary loan officer Chris Miller, they do a fantastic job of being friendly and helpful! Whenever I call I'm greeted with happy service and Chris has helped us work out our finances several times to boost our credit!  He always gives us sound advice and presents his work professionally, and we feel comfortable asking him any questions. I refuse to bank with anyone else because First Southern treats us with such respect and so personally.
